Event Description

Being a union rep can be a lonely job since you are the only one at your school with this special position and with such special tasks.

In addition, being a union rep for international members is even more special. We know that you face some issues that are unique for you as a union rep for international members.  

The international committee has therefore arranged this 'Union Rep Day' for the union representatives at international schools and departments. 

It is important for us that the agenda is relevant for you as a union rep so the agenda might change on the day.

The agenda is as follows (for now):

  • 9.30: Coffee in the lounge
  • 10.00: Welcome and presentation of the attending union representatives and their schools
  • 10.30: What are the experiences from the first year with the new work hour agreement? How can you use the new agreement to improve work hours at your school? Presentation w/ Peter Salomonsen
  • 12.00: Lunch
  • 12.45: Organizing your colleagues in FSL – what works and why?
  • 14.00: Being a part of the international community in FSL
    • Communication to/from the secretariat
    • Professional back-and-forth
    • Coffee       
  • 16.00: See you next year
As a union rep, you should have the necessary time to perform your duties representing your colleagues and this includes attending meetings. We therefore do not cover expenses for supply teachers on the day. However, we will cover your transportation expenses on either train or car.

If you are unable to attend, feel free to send your union rep substitute.
