International Seminar 2024

Take this unique chance to enjoy two days with a mix of "hygge" and professional inspiration for international teachers in Denmark. 

You will return home with invaluable insights from the experiences of other international teacher all over Denmark.

Also you will of course have lots of opportunities to ask representatives from Frie Skolers Lærerforening about your own working conditions.

Both you and your school can look forward to you returning with new inspiration.

Practical info

  • The meeting is free for members of Frie Skolers Lærerforening.
  • There is a possibility to stay for dinner and have a room if you are attending the international seminar on Saturday April 13. 
  • Accommodation and meals are included.
  • We cover transport expenses (car or train).

Getting time off work
We hope that the management at your school will see the seminar as a good opportunity for you and your international colleagues to get a professional brush-up and therefore give you the Friday off to attend the seminar.

However Frie Skolers Lærerforening do not cover expenses for supply teachers. You may have to move your lessons to another time if the management asks you to do so.

Friday, 12 April: 

 
  • 9.30: Coffee in the lounge
  • 10.00: Welcome. Practical information and presentation of the program and the participants
  • 10.30 – 12.00 Keynote presentation with Kasper Jelsbech, PhD - Partner & Chief Consultant at Living Institute
    • Topic: "Cross-Cultural Collaboration within Educational Environments in Denmark" PART 1: KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS 
 
 
 
  • 12.00-12.45 Lunch
  • 12.45 – 14.15 Workshop with Kasper Jelsbech PART 2: TOOLS
  • 14.15 -14.45 Networking and coffee
  • 14.45 – 16.45 Presentation and workshop with Nadia Mansour, Ph.D. - Pedagogical Leader at VIA University College Aarhus
  • 16:45 – 17:00 Coffee Break
  • 17:00 –18:00 Annual General Assembly: "Elections, Finances, Suggestions and more".
  • 18.00 Time to relax 
  • 19.00: Dinner 
  • 21.00: Sing along – please bring your instruments, song suggestions and voices!
