Union Rep Day 2025
A unic opportunity to connect, share experiences, and strengthen your work together with other union reps at the independent international schools.
We know that being a union representative at an independent school can sometimes feel like a lonely role. You’re often the only one at your school in this position, and confidentiality means you can’t always share your experiences with colleagues. On top of that, being a rep for international members of Frie Skolers Lærerforening is even more unique—you might be the only person in your entire district with this responsibility.
That’s why the international committee are inviting you to a dedicated Union Rep Day just for you and your peers in international schools and departments. It will be a chance to connect, share experiences, and strengthen our work together.
We want this day to be as relevant as possible for you, so the agenda is flexible and may evolve based on your input. For now, the program looks like this:
9.30 Coffee, introductions
10.00 Welcome, The Danish Model with Rikke. Negotiation system, OK26.
11.00 Working conditions with Jacob Teglgaard: Samarbejdsspor, local agreements, negotiations, arbejdstid.
12.00 lunch
13.00 Salaries with Peter Salomonsen: how to conduct a negotiation: FSL tools lønkort, lønsamlingen, regnskabsportalen. Bring salary policy. How is it done in your school?
14.00 Networking
15.00 Finish
As a union representative, you’re entitled to the time you need to carry out your role—including taking part in meetings like this one. For that reason, we don’t cover the cost of supply teachers on the day. However, we will of course reimburse your travel expenses, whether you come by train or car.
