Get valuable knowledge, inspiration and specific tools for working with establishing and strengthening the relations in the classroom

Your relations to the pupils are of vital importance to their joy of life, their self-image and their learning. Everybody who works with teaching knows this. Søren Kierkegaard, among other people, taught us this, and in recent years research has supported us as well, as it shows the same.

But how do we work consciously and systematically to establish, strengthen and maintain the relations to the pupils in practice?

At this mini-course, we will work with this, and we will zoom in on the teachers’ social competences, which can be split up into four categories:

• Sensing and creating an atmosphere in the classroom
• Establishing relations to the class as a group
• Establishing relations to the individual pupil
• Getting the pupils to establish relations to each other (create networks)

At the mini-course, you will get specific tools for:

• Working systematically with your (and your team’s) relations to the pupils
• Translating research conclusions into practice
• Working consciously with relations at the beginning, middle and end of the lesson

About the instructor
Kasper Myding has worked as a teacher and deputy headmaster at different independent schools. He has a MA in learning and change processes, he is a keynote speaker and an educational counsellor. In addition, Kasper is part of the project “The World's Greatest Danish School” (Verdens bedste danske skole) that has recently published the book “The World's Best Teacher” (Verdens bedste lærer).

Price
Participation is free, but we ask for a participation fee of 200 kroner, which will be refunded after the course has been held. If you cancel later than 7 days before the event, we reserve the right to retain your payment.

The mini-courses are free for members of the Teachers' Union for Danish Independent Schools. If you are not yet a member, it is easy to become a member online.
