Practical info

• The meeting is free for members of Frie Skolers Lærerforening.
• There is a possibility to stay for dinner and have a room if you are attending the international seminar on Friday April 1. 
• Accommodation and meals are included.
• We cover transport expenses (car or train).
• We will send you a list of the attendees before the seminar so it is possible to arrange car-pooling.

Getting time off work
We hope that the management at your school will see the seminar as a good opportunity for you and your international colleagues to get a professional brush-up and therefore give you the Friday off to attend the seminar.

However Frie Skolers Lærerforening do not cover expenses for supply teachers. You may have to move your lessons to another time if the management asks you to do so.

10.15-16.00: Special needs maybe not that special? w/ Jens Wilbrandt
How teaching and communication in the classroom can meets the needs of special needs students AND enhance learning and cognitive development for the rest of the students 

16.30-19.00: Significant parents – an act of love w/ Rikke Yde Torndrup
How can teachers and educators handle parents with high demands and strong feelings in a constructive and professional way - even when a conflict arises?

9.00-10.30: Annual meeting w/ chairman
We will be electing a new international committee consisting of 4 members and 2 substitute members. All elections are valid for one year. Re-elections are allowed. See the current international committee. 

10.30-11.00: Coffee

11.00-12.30: What’s up in FSL? w/ The Chairman of Frie Skolers Lærerforening
The Chairman is going to give you the latest updates on what’s happening in the union. Ask all the questions you might have to how things are done in FSL, your salary, work hours etc. 

12.30-13.00: Evaluation and goodbye
13.00: Lunch
